Since we have started the promotion in August UPMA has sent out over 10,000 promotional Goldbacks to new members joining the association. There is about a two percent change that yours will be sent back to us in Alpine due to some sort of mistake on either your end or our end. There is a greater chance that your spouse or even yourself will throw it out as mistaken junk mail so keep an eye out. Here are some tips to make sure your Goldback arrives safely:
If you live in an apartment then do not forget the apartment number when you sign up for a UPMA account. This single mistake accounts for half of returned mail.
If you live outside the United States make sure that all of the relevant mailing information is within our system. Our system was never designed for foreign accounts so be creative. This may be remedied in the future.
Note that the Goldback will arrive in a plain envelope with “UPMA” stamped in the corner. Do not confuse it for junk mail.
What to expect:
A new member will generally receive their new Goldback sometime between 1-2 weeks from the time that they signed up. Our resources are limited so we try to take care of the most amount of people on a given day. This results in foreign Goldbacks taking longer to process. Returned Goldbacks are processed last. We have called over one hundred new members about their lost Goldbacks.
What to do if yours never came:
Please be patient with us. We are doing our best to get you a Goldback.
Wait until at least two weeks go by before contacting us. Odds are is that the Goldback will show up.
If two weeks go by and there is still no Goldback then it is possible that it had been returned to the office. We will check for it. The best way to follow up with this promotion is by emailing [email protected].
