REDEMPTIONS (LIQUIDATIONS TO PAPER)

We offer redemption services to our members where metals can be liquidated and returned in these ways:

  1. Wire redemption to your bank (or credit union) savings or checking account. Minimum redemption of $1,000.

  2. A check issued in your name.

  3. Funds liquidated and put on the prepaid, reloadable Visa debit card.

Request this from the UPMA staff via email or phone call. Let us know the following for a redemption:

1) What metal you would like liquidated (For Goldback orders also indicate which denominations you would like).

2) How much metal you'd like liquidated, or how much in paper dollars you'd like to receive.

3) Which method: wire, check or Visa card load.

If you’d like a wire redemption and it's the first time it's being done, and you aren't participating in the monthly UPMA recurring monthly deposit, a pre-note micro deposit process will be necessary, which typically takes 2-5 business days to complete.

For all metals (whether in our out of network): any metals liquidated over $10,000 in a 30-day-period will be subject to a lower rate.

WITHDRAWALS (PHYSICAL DELIVERY)

Members may withdraw their metals whenever they wish. We ask for 48 hours advance notice. Members may take physical delivery of their coins from our headquarters in Alpine, Utah, during the hours of 10 am to 6 pm, Monday thru Friday, and 10 am to 2 pm most Saturdays. Members can also request shipment of their metals. If members have the metals shipped, UPMA will only charge the cost of shipping. Shipping will take a week to ten days. All shipments are insured. 

Members may withdraw account metals in whole coin increments, such as $1 Silver Eagles, and $50 Gold Eagles or Buffalos. These are the coins we vault and insure, and are the coins available for withdrawal.
