COVID-19 Response Plan, ACH Payments, End of Goldback Promotion

Regarding the recently declared COVID-19 pandemic, members who use our online service, shouldn’t see any significant disruption in normal operations.  Members visiting our office may, however, notice fewer staff members present, which makes a full 48 business hours advance notice for metals withdrawals at the office all the more important.  Also, our weekday opening time has moved back from 9:00 am to 10:00 am. Saturday hours remain 10:00 am - 2:00 pm. We have a solid plan in place to continue to deliver services long-term throughout the outbreak.

This month we have seen an enormous increase in precious metals purchases. We suspect that this phenomenon may result from people moving their wealth from less secure paper assets to physical gold and silver. As a result our ACH payment receipt systems have been overwhelmed. Accordingly, we would appreciate your making  deposits by wire, check, money order, cash, or metals.

We have also decided to pause the Goldback promotion.  For the time being, new members will no longer receive a free Goldback.  Of course, Goldbacks can still be obtained through UPMA or other retailers such as RareKoin, APMEX, or SDBullion. 

We sincerely hope that all members of the UPMA family will stay safe during this health crisis, which we plan to continue to monitor carefully and take appropriate action as needed.
